Program 01 · Education

School Climate Education

An interactive curriculum designed to simplify complex climate science into actionable knowledge for primary and secondary school students. We work with teachers and administrators to bring climate literacy directly into the classroom.

Who it Serves: Primary and Secondary school students and educators across Bauchi State, Nigeria.

  • Simplifies complex climate science into engaging, age-appropriate lessons
  • Interactive workshops, simulations and field-based activities
  • Teacher training and co-facilitation model
  • Termly inter-school climate quiz competitions
  • Expected Outcome: A significant increase in climate literacy and a shift in mindset toward environmental stewardship among the youth

Program 02 · Clubs

Sustainability Clubs

Student-led hubs within schools that initiate and manage local environmental projects. Students move beyond theory by leading hands-on activities and taking real ownership of their environment.

Action Focus: Waste management, tree planting drives, water conservation and local community advocacy.

  • Student-led governance with elected President, Secretary & Coordinator
  • Annual seed grant up to ₦50,000 per club
  • Hands-on waste management and tree planting projects
  • Inter-school knowledge exchange and collaboration
  • Leadership Development: Students gain project management skills and develop ownership of their environment

Program 03 · Training

Youth Climate Learning Lab Training

A specialized program focusing on building the next generation of environmental advocates and NGO leaders. Selected young people undergo intensive training to become certified Climate Warden Youth Leaders.

Skills Taught: Public speaking, community organizing, policy advocacy, and sustainable project design.

  • 6-week hybrid training (in-person + online)

  • Outcome: Graduates lead independent campaigns and represent youth voices in climate dialogues

Program 04 · Community

Community Environmental Campaigns

Visible, high-impact public actions that engage the broader community outside the school gates. Our campaigns bring climate awareness directly to the people — in their language and their spaces.

Activities: Massive tree-planting drives, neighbourhood cleanups, and public awareness rallies in markets, mosques and community halls.

  • Community-needs assessment before every campaign
  • Hausa-language materials and community radio spots
  • Collaboration with traditional and religious leaders
